Conversions & Hybrids - Autometer Speedo question...

Do I have to use an electric gauge or can I hook up a mechanical one to my T56 somehow?

I used the electric, but there are some posts on here from long ago about staying mechanical. I know that www.jagsthatrun.com makes an adapter for the t56. There are other black boxes as well. All seemed to be quite pricey.

The electronic speedo from Autometer is sweet. Not having to route the cable is a big plus. Be sure you tap directly off of either lead from the VSS. The PCM VSS output is a modified squarewave pattern that the Autometer unit won't recognize.
