Default Ebay Smooth Bellow

Hey Guys,

I hate to even start a tread about something as simple, overpriced, and worthless as a smooth below is, but I just want to buy one purely for looks. I'm already well aware of the fernco version as well as some others that are more "universal", but I still want the SLP style. I saw this one on ebay today. Still $40, but cheaper than the $60-70 one SLP is selling. It looks just like an SLP one, even looks like it is made out of the exact same materials. Have any of you bought one of these or have any thoughts? I think I'm going to buy one regardless, but I just wanted to hear some peoples thoughts before I pulled the trigger.

Thanks!

I was thinking of purchasing one to route my nozzle through and found one on intakehoses.com. Click on special on the left and it's the 22degree 4" one.

I had one on my Firebird that I got from eBay and was happy with it. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

theres not really anything be dissapointed with honestly. you won't feel any gains with or without the bellow. this is just one of those things that kinda looks good on the car. maybe 1 rwhp but i mean really. is it worth the money? i'd get something ported like the throttle body or intake before i spent my money on this but to each his own

I bought this exact piece from them. Couldn't latch air lid at first. Bellow was about a 1/4 too long. Trimmed it and waa-laa. Works fine.

My air doesn't pass through all those ribs now. It doesn't make a **** bit of difference but looks better. The arh & ory DID make a difference.

A rare post from a super er

I just said screw it and bought the SLP one, along with the silicone coupler on the SLP MAF mated to the SLP lid. The fit and finish is top notch and looks factory. The SLP has the alignment slots and the design alows for plenty of engine movement without stressing the connections. I know some say they are overpriced and they are, but really what's 60$? I spend that much in energy drinks in a month.

Well as the saying goes: you get what you pay for. I got the ebay smooth bellow this week which looks just like the SLP one, but is $20 cheaper. I tried installing it but its very loose around the mass air flow sensor. So loose that I don't want to use it. Maybe it would work with a larger aftermarket MAF, but mine is stock. I emailed the seller to try and do a return. We'll see how that goes. I recommend if you want the SLP style bellow, don't be cheap and just buy and SLP one instead of a knock off.

I bought one about a year ago. Fits great and still has that shiny silicone appearance.

The best part though was the "improved throttle response"........(this is sarcasm).

I don't think that's too much of an exaggeration. I mean serious,ly all it is is a few inches of 3" diameter plastic tubing. How much can that really cost SLP to make.

Chances are, they have it made anyway. Still overpriced but they must be selling enough of them to constitute the need to keep making them.
