Default Swivel Joint LCAs?

(I tried searching for this but came up empty...)

Is anybody running these pieces by Founders Performance?

http://www.foundersperformance.com/p...mbination.html

It sounds like this would address a lot of the binding problems with Polyurethane bushings...

I am familiar with Roto-Joints, Rod Ends, Poly Bushings, etc, but this is the first I've seen this particular configuration.

This design has been around for a long long time. The original was the Johnny Joint by Currie Enterprises. Here is a link to watch the Currie video if you would like.

Ours are exactly the same all the way down to the bushing manufacturer except for a spirol lock instead of a snap ring and we use thicker support washers.

It looks like a great design. I'm honestly torn between using these or the roto joints by UMI. Anybody have any input to the pros and cons of both?

What disaster exactly do you forsee here?

Suppose the poly completely gave out... the LCA is still going to be held on by the mounting bolt, and it will probably make a hellacious racket. Plenty of warning to pull over, I think.

Correct, we use a Delrin lining inside while these would have polyurethane. The Delrin, spherical ball and all other internals of the Roto-Joint are built here so we don't have to count on other manufactures to make these. Ours are adjustable as well, if the Delrin inside would ever wear you can apply tension using the adjuster ring.

I hope this helps,
Ryan
