Default A few strange nitrous questions

When I purge the nitrous, half the time you cant actually see it. You can hear it, But I have to hold it down for a few seconds till you can actually see the gas. Is this normal? I dont want to be wasting it.

Also, What is the max bottle pressure? Sometimes at shows I've seen it get near 1500 psi.

Last, Is it okay to leave the bottle open for extended periods of time?

Thanks!!

I cut my bottle on after i go through with my burnout and as soon as i hit the return road, just to be safe, Usually, when you cant see it for the first second or so that is air in your line and when you see it its frsh nitrous

Also, 1500psi is way too much in my opinion for bottle pressure, you may want to look into a bottle blanket and a blow-down tube insace the burst-disk ruptures

I would not turn on bottle unless the motor was running (leaky Noid would be VERY bad)

Leaving on for long periods I wouldn't think would be good for the Noids either.

okay. I usually turn it on and off when needed.

And I wasnt sure about bottle pressure because the gauge goes to 2000. This was in 80 degree temps. I dont know why it got so high. Any links to something that helps keep it cooler? When I saw it getting high, I took a bandana and soaked it with water and covered it. But it didnt do much. I opened it up and purged it a bunch, that got the pressure down.

The contents have a huge effect on this as well. A full bottle can not sit in the car here in Texas during the summer and not be Way above 900-1000psi.

The good thing is when you don't see nitrous for a moment wile purging, that is the point of having a purge. To get all the air and vaperized nitrous out of the line from the heat of the engine.

I was testing stuff out lastnight and purged it. After about a minute I purged it again and there must have been a little air in it again.isn't that bad? If I it can get air in there that quickly? Or is that normal

Was the motor running? If so what can happen is the nitrous in the line is effected by the heat of the motor. Again a big reason for purge is to remove that from the line so that you don't have hessitation on your run.
