Check My Work Please
I just installed an SLP lid on my car, the first mod I have done to this car and only the 2nd mod I've ever really done total on any vehicle. The install took a long time because I checked and double checked everything and went slowly, plus the MAF and the plug for the lid were a PITA. Anyway I have everything back together but since its my first mod I'd like for you guys to check the pics and tell me if it looks like it should and is good to go.
3 pics are related to the intake lid seal and the 4th is the negative battery terminal. The 1st pic you can see a small gap. The 2nd picture is hard to see but the bottom sticks out slightly past the lid, I think thats ok but want to make sure. The 3rd pic looks pretty snug. The pic of the battery shows a slight gap, not sure if its normal or supposed to be flush.

Yeah I fixed that lol, The bolt didn't go in straight. Still not sure about the slight gap on the lid...and not that I am looking at the whole thing I noticed the MAF is a little crooked. I know it is connect tight so it should be sealed but it is on a slight angle instead of straight in line...
Probably just being **** but better safe than sorry.

I'd on there tight. I really don't want to have to dissemble it again to fix it. If the SES is on I definitely will but if not I don't think it i'm going to bother. I do wish I would have seen it before I connected it but I was just happy that I finally got the damn MAF into the neck of the lid so I wasn't paying attention

I would get a buddy to help straighten it out cause stuff like that bugs me. Easy fix. Also drive it a few days then recheck the screws because mine loosened up a lot after a little driving so I tightened them back up.

I suggest going out and getting a 3 inch pipe coupler and use that between the maf and lid. Instead of having the Maf inside the lid When that thing gets hot and cold over a year or so if you ever want to remove the Maf it is a pain in the ***. It took a heat gun and a flatead screw driver to get my maf out last week when I got a new one.

Yeah that took me forever. I looks flush (the MAF to the lid) all the way around. I can't turn the MAF by myself lol but yeah it bugs me too, I just wanted to know from a functionality perspective if it would be harmful

When installing the lid, the LIP for the AIRBOX goes OUTSIDE (in front) of the lid. I.E. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...d-fitment.html has a clear picture. From your blurry picture, it looks as if the lip is inside of your lid.

The pic in that thread looks pretty similar to mine
