New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - Newbie, help needed

I have a 69 Camaro with a LS1. I washed the engine bay and now the engine runs like it's carburetored with a stuck choke. Any ideas?

building a lq9 motor thats going to be a sleeper need to know what kind of cam to use that has a smooth idol and that will make around 550 hp
