Default 5.3 to 6.2 swap

Im doing a swap from an 07 escalade with a 6.2 L92

to an 07 Avalanche with a 5.3L.

Im hoping I can just swap the motor because the Escalade is 4X4 and the Avalanche is 2WD. My first priority is to get the Avalanche running.. the tuck was in a small fire on the passenger side dash area. Nothing but a/c wires and a couple wires that go to radio seem to be burnt. The truck hasn't been started since this which was about 6 months ago. Ive wired everything up that I can see. Not everything is there though so the cooling fans aren't plugged in and I can't seem to find the plug for the MAF sensor so thats not plugged in.

I want to do two things when I get back to work on monday;
1. See if there is power going to the start ( I doubt there is)
2. Hook up the shifter cable and make sure the truck is in park or neutral

Heres where Im at.. car turns on fine but when you crank it nothing happens.

So my questions are;
1. Any ideas on what to check to try and get it to start
2. How can I identify what transmissions both trucks have
3. Any foreseen problems with just doing a motor swap instead of doing the whole driveline

That truck is a 4L60E..the Escalade is the 6L80E from the looks of it.

You will have to account for the Gen IV wiring.

Got the truck to crank today. The avalanche is a flood car and I found that the fuse block under the hood was corroded pretty badly. I grabbed the fuse block off of the escalade and it would click but would not fully crank. I found that the wire coming from the battery to the starter was broken. Again I grabbed the one off of the escaped (nice having a parts car hah) and it cranked.

I couldn't get it to start. I have spark but was not getting fuel. Someone made a fuel tank when they notched the frame for the drop and never hooked it up. So tomorrow I'm going to run new lines and hopefully start the motor swap.

I pulled the fuel system from the Escalade to test the avalanche motor. It started right up. I have no throttle and the idle would keep rising but Ill diagnose that when I get the new motor in.

Here is the 6.2l and the 4L60E ready to be paired up and put into the Avalanche

As of now the 6.2 is in the avalanche. I had the computer tuned to delete VATs and all that good stuff and it started right up. I found that the throttle wiring was damaged so I repaired a couple wires and everything seems to be working fine. The only thing difference between the motors in the 6.2 has a cam solenoid that will change the timing, The tuner said once I get to drive it if there is any lack of power then we will need to do a cam swap and he will retune it for free. It will a couple months before I get to test it though.
