Default Valve spring question.

My car is bolt-on and will probably stay that way, no plans on changing cam. However, from 5400-6000 it is getting really bad valve float(109K miles on stockers). What springs would you recommend? Yellow LS6 springs? Also, how difficult is swapping them in the heads when they are on the car? Thanks.

The yellow LS6 springs will work. I would consider getting some better push rods to reduce some of the flex.

on the car isnt bad. Ive always used the texas speed tool and a breaker bar using an air compressor and a leakdown test kit with the check valve out of it to hold the valves up

Yep, either get the pac or the comp 918 springs. If you decide to put a cam in, you're all set.

I think if you keeping stock cam the yellow ls6 springs will work perfect. Some of the springs mentioned above like 918's and the pac springs are a harder spring that probably won't last as long as the ls6 springs will.
