Overheating issue
I hope this is the right section first off. Car is a 98 z28 with 2000 internals. motor trans rear computer etc. Anyway in about 95* heat when idling at lights or in traffic with the A/C on the car overheats. I thought a fan may be bad but I have an SLP fan switch that I Can turn them on manually and that doesn't effect it. With the AC off it seems to be fine. I topped the radiator off with coolant but it wasn't really low. I don't think I have a blown head gasket. My buddy whos had 3 f bodys said his did the same thing until he did a cam swap and cleaned out his radiator (I have not checked mine yet). Just wondered if this was normal or if it should stay cool.
thanks in advance guys feel free to ask any quesitons

never since I got the car has it gone above 210 until a week ago. which by the time I noticed it it was up to 235 climbed up to 240ish before it headed back down which I turned the AC off and got rolling to get it to cool down. It went down to 210 like always or just a hair under around 205. It is the stock guage. Going with a 3 guage pillar loaded with speks soon. I also noticed my oil psi the lowest its ever been at idle. car was definitely hot. Oil was around what looked to be 22psi again stock guage I know but thats all I have to go on now.

I see many cars at work with the same issue during the summer. You may try blowing out the condensor and raditor with air. Soo much crap builds up between the fins. And with a hot condensor blocking the radiator, there's not much airflow.
