Small rock nicks in 555R's?

Small rock nicks in 555R's? I'm starting to notice small rock nicks/cuts in my tire, I drive around 200 miles round trip to the track and I'm guessing with all of that driving, plus the racing, the tires get very hot/soft and pick up rocks. Is this a safety issue? They aren't chunks by no means, but definitely noticeable when looking.

i dont see it being anything to be concerned with right now. sounds like its just the tread getting chewed up. As the tread wears down is when Id bring in concern. How deep are they going? You should try contactin nitto and get there take on it. Wiow just noticed your times, what kind of 60ft are you getting with those 2.73's

60' was 1.76 on the pass in sig, 2686 DA and spinning a bit.
