Default Whirr/Whine Noise

So the car has a Moser 12-bolt and a BMR adjustable torque arm. Been that was for 2 summers now. Only thing I changed was removing the rear seats and spare/jack over the weekend. The Moser has always been loud, but this new noise between like 35-45 MPH is atrocious. I was thinking maybe without that stuff in the back it echos more, but thinking maybe the pinion is out of whack. It doesn't make the noise unless there is a passenger in the car, but I can hear the whirr noise when I go over a dip in the road. Any ideas? Fluid is full and has the additive as well.

Bad bearings, I would bet -- had to replace diff bearings on both my Camaro's OEM rears due to a loud whirring/slight grinding noise...
