Just wondering if any other T56 racers are showing up, and what kind of times your running? anyone badass enough for a stock T56 to run real street??

btw what is the official ruling on a t56/6060 in real street, on here rules said no and gm high tech rules said they were allowed i believe

yeah it will be there. :D like Raymond said, its in primer for now, and getting a paint job this winter time.

I am wanting some good track prep, and I am kinda tired of running an index class.

If I run into any of you T56 guys would you give me some pointers on how to get my car out of the hole? I know it is mainly my tires and before I put good track tires on it I need to get a rear end under it, but good pointers on how to launch on these tires and track tires would be great. Running 13.3 at 115mph on these tires is just imbarrising for a car that makes 600rwhp, LOL. I need help!! I would think with as much power as my D1SC car makes I should at least be able to run mid to low 12's on street tires...what do you think.

My car isn't a dedicated track car just trying to get a street car to run as fast as possible with out a slush box.

Back on topic my track around here sucks so I am reading up on the rules and hope to make some passes. If not then my car will just be in the show and shine.

t56 here, not sure what it will be running by then, still got to get everything back together. Its still bolt ons for now.

If I make it it will have a T56 in it and I'll run real street. Last year car went 9.6's but I've changed a lot of stuff over the "Winter".

Currently finishing up the firewall and new hood mounts then need to install the engine and trans. My current problem is time, if a miracle happens and the car gets back together I will have no time to test it and I hate making that long of a drive with an untested car.

Either way I'll be at Indy for the Shootout.

I wish I had your 60ft, what tires and suspension do you use to cut that? Apparently I have a lot to learn about the transmission upgrades because I have no idea what your talking about.

no sprayer for me, I just run amsoil trans fluid. holding up so far so good.

its a stock ratio MN6 trans, stock gears. it is viper shafted.

Im not gonna run real street but im spraying my input and cluster, works wonders

Good info guys, I'm still runnin this stock gto trans, waiting for something to happen, still tryin to decide if i want to go with faceplated g force gears or not, will do a spray bar tho.
02somls1ws6 I run full rear suspension except for a drag bar, all midwest chassis and da qa1's. Still pimpin the 26x11.50x15 et street bias plys, they are 2 years old lol and the 60's are still gettin better. Need a drag bar!!!

BES Stroked nova, is the new car faceplated? I think itd be cool to see a stick car running real street..although I dont think it would be top dog, I think some 8.30s are prob gona be needed to qualify on top. either way its always cool to see people bangin gears out there

Yeah, I honestly dont know what they were running. But I just want to make a point to let these T56's in.

I asked questions, no one answered about the faceplated part, so I am showing up with my shit set on kill. Trying to support a class so maybe one day it can grow, hope they can see that.

I have been 9.71 at 142 on a unprepped track only launching at 5k. we will see what I can do on the .082 jet!:D

I'm ready to see it! I really dont see why a faceplated t56 would be anything for the rules to outlaw, all it does is let more people race, and I don't see a clear advantage that would make it a huge leg up on the competition, just way more fun to watch. We need more than 5 cars in the class anyways!
I would like to build a RS car this winter, but i'm afraid it will get out of hand and into the 7.90s..if it does, they will need to back the class off somehow IMO. But i'm not running, so I say let it all eat before then! I bet if you show up to run RS, you will be in it.

if you read the "either" part. Mine fits the bill cause it has factory MN6 ratio's and all 6 speeds are in it. from what I was told in an email.

they didnt want to see faceplated, MN12 ratio, etc etc..... i guess.

not like anyone should be worried about me, I am a budget kind of guy just trying to have some fun!
