Default Valve job with 11.5:1?

Like it says should I get a valve job on my 799s if I'm running 11.5:1 CR?
The heads have very low miles but I was worried about the high compression I will be running. I appreciate any advice. Thanks

You definitely will benefit from a good valve job such as AI vj.

I think Mark is referring to Advanced Induction....

A good valvejob is beneficial whether your building a 9 to 1 engine or a 13 to 1 engine.....compression has nothing to do with it.

The right valvejob properly seals the valve allowing cylinder pressure to be built on the compression stroke as well as (potentially) making a big difference in the flow curve of the head which means it has a notable effect on power.

Keep in mind a poor VJ can hurt both (sealing, airflow and power) so choose the shop you deal with wisely. What might work really one in one style head might not work really well in another btw....I do alot of experimenting when it comes to the design of our product and selecting the best valvejob to compliment a certain lift range I might be targeting for a specific head/application.

Hope this helps

Thanks to everyone for the info. I did have an idea that Advanced Induction was a possibility but I didn't know. Being that shipping cost would be an issue I think that will not be an option. I do have a few local shops to choose from one being know for ls setups I already have my block there for the machine work so I will talk to them about it. Thank you Pred and Tony for the reply I really do appreciate it.
