Default M6: In Gear, On Throttle, Shifter Moves

I figure this is a newb question, so forgive me.

I'll be in gear and stepping on the throttle. Anything above like 25% throttle and I can feel my shifter move smoothly around in accordance to how much torque I'm putting down. Also, lately, it's getting difficult downshifting into 2nd.

Is this a sign my transmission/torque mounts are shot?

Thanks!

As long as the shifter isn't moving violently up and down or side to side more than a 1/4-1/2" when you give it throttle you are ok. The engine and transmission are mounted on rubber mounts, so when you give it throttle the engine torques sideways twisting the transmission which is where the shifter movement comes from.

The downshifting issue is possibly worn blocking rings. How many miles are on your car?
