Is anyone se disappointed with their HID's? Mine light the **** out of the street signs, but I am not at all impressed with the lighting on the road.

They are DDM's 35W, I think they are 4.3k. Lows only.

Yea i've been thinking about moving to some HID Lows and Fogs.

My brights are AMAZING. But even with my low beams adjusted up as much as I can (feels waay to tight to try and do it anymore) it still feels, almost dangerous, driving on an unlit backroad.

I love mine. People flash me their brights all the time thinking mine are on. I have just the lows and fogs. Light everything up great for me.

I think people need to eat more carrots. I have my GTO, a Grand Prix and a G6 GTP and the goat by far has the best lighting of them all. Also if people are flashing their brights it means your light is blinding them. No different than running around with the high beams on.

Also have a G6 and the lights are so much better....

The lights are really nice and bright, they just don't point up enough.

the projectors in the goats headlights hold the h.i.d.s back alot. one of my bikes suffer from the same issue. My friend put h.i.d.s. in his goat after getting it. There was little improvement over the stock and it is a ddm kit. when compared to my s10, or the 4 other vehicles we have had with the h.i.d.s it wasn't nearly the same.

Yea I have been told that they are really bright. but they flash me and I show them what my high beams look like. Im not a dick about it just a quick flash so hopefully they will turn their highs off.

Ok first I don't want to blind other drivers, if my lights are in their eyes then they are not on the road (where I want them).

Do the HID's dim over time. They were already in there when I git the car. I have thought about reacing the bulbs.

More than the brightness though seems to be the pattern. It's more short and wide, I would prefer it to be longer and narrower.

I bought my GTO used and I am not sure what headlights are in it but they suck. The high beams are amazing but regular lights are crap. As a matter of fact, my '68 Camaro will light the road better with old timey sealed beams that are about $8 each...same ones in my first car a '79 Camaro, a '72 C10 I had, my neighbors '55 Chevy, buddy's '69 Nova, etc... Not sure about all this fancy new-age crap sometimes. I guess they look cool...

I was not terribly impressed with my 5K HID head lights either, but when I upgraded the fogs to 5k HIDs as well it made a huge difference, and I am very pleased with the overall setup now. Does a good job of lighting up the road, and has much better visibility. Try some HID fogs, and see what you think before you go back to stock

theres your problem. You need 50 watt. I tried the 35's and they didnt do much. But the 50's are great.

Yeah I'm gonna get the fogs first. Then up the lows. And eventually do the highs. I've dews a few places to only do the 35w in the lows cause the 50w's will melt the housings. Anyone had any experience with that issue.

50 watt in the fogs will melt the housing.

50 watt in the low beams will require new wiring or you could cause a fire.

I bought the DDM kit and checked the temps afterward. The housing change was less than with the highs on. If you attempted to use the factory power wires you would have some issues but the kit comes with new wiring so it only uses the factory harness for switching.
