Default Diablosport Predator question

I have a 99 Trans Am that was originally automatic. I had a T56 swapped in and also have headerback exhaust. I figured the Diablosport Predator would be a good choice since my main concern is adjusting the speedo and I figured
I could also put a mild tune on the car for the exhaust. I'd just like to get opinions from people who have used this product. I'd appreciate any feedback I can get.

Adjusting as in correcting the hardly working speedo stemming from still having an a4 tune in the car? From what I have understood, it was required that an m6 program be flashed to your pcm to correct the speedometer.

Could you shed any light on this? I also have a predator but was certain that it didn't have the ability to do this. But if it somehow can, I'd love to be able to use it lol.

I was basing my answer on the fact that he had flashed the car back to a manual cal, if thats not the case, it may be a bit more complicated.

Either way, you can do some fancy math to get the speedo right by fibbing the axle ratio/tire size info.

Ah I see that's interesting. I never thought of messing with axle ratios and things of that nature. I will look into that as I still haven't corrected my speedo and wondered the same thing as the OP. (if he ment what I assumed by it anyway)

I have not reflashed the car to manual. I was under the impression that I could dial in the rear gear ratio and the wheel and tire sizes to fix the speedo. Did I guess wrong?

Good deal. Thanks for the responses. I've gotten sick of sticking my garmin over my speedo so I know how fast I'm going. Does the programmer come with any preloaded tunes for bolt-ons?

it comes with a 91 octane tune and a Diablo Tune - which is for 93 octane... then, you can do some data logging to see where your fueling is at, your average fuel trims, and can make fueling adjustments as needed... along with a slew of other adjustments that are available with it...

Default It"s all true

I started with a u7193 4 years ago,
I have had the chance to use them alot.As a matter of fact i just opened a dyno shop myself.

AcuDyne Auto Tune
5675-a hwy 90 w
theodore Al 36582

The predator does it all, but tune a big mod, turbos?I did unlock it and relock it with a custom tune and was able to tweak my tune done by a speed shop.A two bar map upgrade stopped that

i have tried hyper tech but the can tune is not as good.

I still use them to data log and dtc reset. So even locked they are well worth it.

Hope this helps you make up your mind
