Default Car not right after TB swap

Ok, I'll try an keep this short but I doubt it'll work out..

Car: 2000 formula, a4, 105k miles
mods: headers/ory/hooker, ported TB, frost tune

the problem: I installed my new ported/polished tb, reset the TPS sensor, took the car for a drive and all was fine for about 15minutes.

Now if I barely touch the throttle the rpm shoots to 1200 and sits for a few seconds, same thing happens if I turn my A/C on..and if I give it a quick rev to 2500 it'll drop to 1500 and sit there for 2-3seconds. I tried resetting the tps again and it felt fine for a few min then started to run like **** again. I'm also getting hard shifts 1-2 and into gear

I'm thinking I need to replace my TPS, am I going the correct route or should I be looking at something else? I have a scanner and the tps reads 0.0-0.4 volts at idle

Also i've been chasing a slight miss ever since my header install, my RPMS
bounce 20-100 at idle or in gear( i see the needle bounce barely and it annoys me)

I replaced my plugs with ngk tr 55s gapped at .58 and duralast wires( year i know...wanted it running)
new denso o2 sensors 4k miles ago
ive checked fuel pressure, tested the coils for spark and did my best checking for vac leaks
Any ideas what I should check next? maybe my wires just suck?
Oh and btw I haven't got any codes since my header install
thanks alot guys

That crossed my mind too but after this post I went back out and started fooling around again, Its fine until it gets to operating temp then all hell breaks loose, rpms stay up etc...also fooling around with a long screw driver i can hear a slight tick i never heard before..not what i wanted to hear..

I plan on gettin a dyno tune but I wanted to find an intake first, maybe a cam(winter time)..but if every1 thinks this is the case ill park it and drive a junker until that time comes.

I was having the same problem as the car would warm up the car would want to hold around 2000 rpm. I checked my throttle on my scan and found that it was holding at %2 open not closing to zero. A couple of drops of 3 in one oil and it solved it. It still sticks every once in a while but at least I know how to fix it.

what are your IAC counts, almost sounds like its o2 sensor related being that it dosent act up till it reaches operating temp or closed loop. but id agree with fenix tune would be my first thought

I'll have to recheck tomorrow I dont remember exactly, I was getting 22mpg before the swap now im getting 19-19.5 so it could indeed be the tune, i just dont see how a TB made that much of a difference

Could it be a vacuum leak? When I installed my TB at a friends house, I was driving home, and when I would come to a stop the RPMS would hover at anywhere from 1500-2500 for a few secs before dropping back down. Took a look when i got home and found a hole in one of my hoses that is coming out of the intake manifold. How did me putting on a TB put a hole in my hose from the intake? Idk, but thats what it was. Just a guess though.

Ok so this morning I pulled the TB off, reinstalled making sure everything fit perfectly and sealed, checked all my vac lines checking as much as i could see for any signs of wear.
also took my egr plug off my manifold and re-riggd' it because I swear it whistles at me from time to time. also reset TPS again
I started the car up and let it warm up for about 20min while listening to it, once it hit operating temp the throttle response was still fine, rpms werent acting up etc.. so maybe I fixed 1 problem, BUT

I'm starting to think that I have a bad cam/cam lobe, or a lifter thats been beat to death
I changed my oil about 100 miles ago and since around then I've had a noticable tick, doesn't sound like its coming from either valve cover

Throw some ATF in it about half a bottle. It has a higher pressure rating, will clean, and hopefully repump your lifters. Change the oil again, after you do it. Might want to sea foam the engine oil too. Read the sticky on how to sea foam the oil if you do not know how to.

I've heard lots about sea foaming the engine, never done it...Sea foam has always scared me, and the stories I've heard/read from different people keep me away from it. So I'll have to research it further and possibly give it a go, ill try anything at this point.

again I appreciate the responses guys.

Is this a common problem when putting in a ported TB? I was planning on doing this soon...now I'm a little scared.

I fixed my throttle body problem, Don't know if it was a leak somewhere or if resetting the tps 20 times worked lol..but most people say they feel a gain and don't have my problem

sounds like a vacuum leak or the throttle blades not closing all the way

What's wrong with seafoam? I hear good reviews on it.

Seafoam isn't bad but Top Engine Cleaner is way better.
