Cheap paint jobs
So I got this beater truck and the factory paint is trashed. I was going to sand it down and then just shoot it with some flat black primer and call it done.... but got to thinking??? What about the Maaco or other shops $300 paint service. All I would need them to do is tape off the truck and shoot it. I'll do the sanding and any bodywork necessary.
Has anyone had any experience doing this? How did it turn out? If you don't like Maaco, then can someone recommend another shop down here League City, Pearland, Friendswood? I don't want to spend more than 300, or I'll just do it myself in the garage. And trust me, I am not looking for show quality, just no runs or bugs in the paint. LOL. Oh and no trim painted.

Definitely can't get cheaper than Maaco. If you do all the prep work yourself, you might be able to get away with a $200 enamel paint job. It won't be like factory by any means, but it won't be completely terrible.
