Default D1SC on LM7 Questions

Hey guys, just wondering if a 04 H2 Hummer Procharger kit will bolt to a 04 LM7. I haven't seen any close up pics of how the kits are mounted. Do they bolt to the alt/ps bracket? I'm pretty sure the 04 5.3L and 6.0L have the same brackets. I am running the truck accessories and it is going in my 98 s10, so space is kinda limited. The reason I'm looking at getting a H2 kit, is because it looks like the head unit sits closer to the motor and is level with the alternator. I think hood clearance wood be an issue if it sits higher than the motor. Also does anyone know if I can order a kit without the charge piping? Going into a s10, I'm sure I would need custom piping. Thanks guys.

I can't see why the bracket would not bolt up to your 5.3. These systems can be ordered without the intercooler and piping, or just with the piping deleted. Bob

Thanks Bob. I called Procharger yesterday, and the lady (I'm guessing was the receptionist) said the kits are designed to certain motors so a 6.0L kit wouldn't bolt to a 5.3L. Her telling me this, just made me confused. I was pretty certain that all 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0's had the same mounting points for the accessories. I wish she would've just transferred me to the tech dept, like I asked for.

An 04 6.0 and an 04 5.3 are the identicle motors as far as the outside physical mounts, accesories, etc. You should have absolutely no problems with it bolting up....fitting into the engine bay of an S10, now theres another story lol.

Lol, yeah there isn't much room in the engine bay. 98+ s10's have a fuse box on the driver's inner fender, which is the only thing I can see it hitting. Shouldn't be a big deal to extend some wires and move the windshield washer tank.

So an f-body setup wouldn't work, mounting it down low in front of the alternator?

As for the plumbing, it's easy, really it is. Just get a generic kit, and start at the head unit, and make cuts and connections as needed to get to your intercooler, and then to your throttle body. It's no different than doing regular plumbing in your house.

I believe if it's mounted down low, it will hit the frame rail. I wanted to keep the truck setup because I think the stock 4.3L p/s pump and lines should work on my 5.3L
