Default Did anyone else experience this problem?

I just had to replace the battery in my Z28, the car now idles really low and almost dies when I put it in gear. Is there something I need to reset? The guage reads that it's charging fine, but the car idles around 300-400 RPM in gear. What is wrong with my car?

I did several searches and found nothing similar.

I've heard of some cars that lose the idle memory - so when the battery dies, it resets the idle to 0. If that's the case, it takes a while for it to relearn - but I'm pretty much guessing.

When I replaced mine I had to let the computer relearn. Just let it idle for a while even if you have to give it a little gas for a while so it stays running. The puter will relearn and it will all be good.

Thanks guys, going outside right now to do that.

EDIT: Well, let it idle in Park for a few, then in OD for a bit. After that I took it for s quick spin around the block and romped on it a little bit - seems to be back to normal. What a goofy *** car. Thanks again for the help.
