Thumbs up HID headlights on 1998-2002 Camaro

Hi all;

I am thinking of having these installed on my 2001 Camaro, would like to hear any tips that could be given about the systems (35W or 55W) any problems with the PCM detecting voltage problems, etc.

Thanks in advance.

DO NOT just drop an HID kit into your reflector lens Camaro. Join this forum and also read the other link:

http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/forum.php
http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...nversions.html

Just an excerpt:

"So you've read about HID headlamps and have it in mind to convert your car. A few mouse clicks on the web, and you've found a couple of outfits offering to sell you a "conversion" that will fit any car with a given type of halogen bulb. STOP! Put away that credit card."

Please do a retrofit with some projectors so YOU can see better and others are not blinded.

If you put a hid kit in a halogen projector your car will explode. Don't do it

Steve, join that HID Planet website. I've been a member there for 6 years and learned a ton over the years. You'll learn the ins and outs of hid's, projectors, and proper setups. You'll see photos and video's of just how much better the proper optics and setup are than just dropping an HID kit in a reflector housing.

I've got 6K in my headlights. I just have halogens in my fog and driving lights, the fog lights aren't the factory housings.

Here is my thread
