Default 98 formula hard to start?

I have a 1998 formula that is hard to start, it cranks for probably 3-7 seconds before it lights off.
Seems to be running alright otherwise.
Thanks for any help.

update, there is no fuel pressure at the rail with the engine off.....

priming it makes no difference to it starting.

What is your fuel pressure when you turn on the key? It sounds like your Fuel pressure is bleeding off.

I will try to get a fuel pressure gauge today, the fuel filter is about 4 years 20,000 miles.

If the puel pressure is bleeding off, what is the fix?
If you push in the schrader valve, it makes a gurgling noise, but no fuel whatsoever comes out.

The fix is replacing the pump and or the pump assembly-I'd just do the whole assembly if you're going to be in there anyway.

Goddamn electric fuel pumps...

check fuel pressure at prime and report back... could be a bad fuel pump or a clog in the lines/filter

My guess goes to fuel pressure regulator or the little line off it as well
