Default Mickey Thompson et streets 26x11.5r17 / Anyone tried them ?

I got issues with my traction..I run a 17x10 with the 315/35r17 et street radial II's on them. I wanted to ask if anyone has run the et streets in he 26x11.5r17 ? I really like running a drag tire on the car but I need a tire to hook on the 17x10 rim. It's on a 69 chevelle with boxed in lower arms and lower relocation brackets "set on lowest setting". car puts about 375hp/375tq to the rear tires and has a th350 with 3.73 gears. Anyone got any experience with the 26x11.5r17 et street ?

is there more information on your car like gearing, motor etc. My dad's camaro runs a 295/60?R16 and he doesn't have any traction issues with a motor that put out 630 hp. I run the 275/45/17 on my car and can't break them unless I do a brake torque... My car puts 350 to the tires through a stalled A4. you can't go wrong with the et street i guess is all i'm trying to say haha

Default I agree !

My car put 350 to the wheels on a hundred shot. It's got a 373 gear and a th350 with a 3500 jw stall. It just wont hook on the et street radials in the 315/35r17. Thats why I'm wondering about the et street in the size I was asking about. I havent found anything about people running that specific size of et street. car runs a 12.67 @ 110mph with a 2.00 or close to it 60 ft. I dont have my time slip in front of me. oh its also a 3800lb weight with me in it. I've tried leaving all different ways. foot braking 2500 down to 1200. And the nitrous is on a window switch which comes on at 3000rpm. So it starts to spin when the break is released then the nitrous kicks on and hits it harder. My last time out I put a 3700rpm chip in and still spun with sh&*y track conditions and went a 2.1 60ft. with a 12.8x et @109mph. I'm tired of trying with these et street radials. It would be bad *** to dead hook on this size tire tho with a 3000rpm chip !

I wont run my car on the track till the 12th of Sept. so I cant speak to that but my 305/35/18's w/ 30 psi on the street hook fine with about 480 to the rear wheels and a 6 speed. From a 5 or 10 roll they dont spin a bit either.

Default Wtf ?

I'm starting to think its the track ! I never run other cars on the street but messing around i can get it to hook from a dead stop from idle. Stalling it up will make it spin tho. Now that I think about it, About a year ago we took it to do some base and nitrous runs for this nitrous book " an article on the car was being written in" It hooked one time, I think thats when I got the 1.87 60'. I'm questioning weither I ;m missing something or not. Some guys say I need to get the weight transfer going better " with drag shocks " but it's a street car and I cant justify spending the bucks on some adjustable shocks yet...(trying to build a g body for the wife). I drive the car 40 mins down to the track then drop the psi to about 10 lbs or so as soon as I get thru the gate. If you seen my duno sheet youd be like wtf ? its no power below 3 grand.
