Default broken valve cover bolt...

I have a broken valve cover bolt in my head. It's in there pretty good too. (thought in-lb was ft-lb's..hey it was late) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> I dont think "screw-out" will work, do you guys suggest anything else?

you could try an actual extractor...The type that you drill hole, pound in and screw it out..

I have had success using a center punch and a hammer to walk it around and out.

If all else fails, drill it and put a heli-coil in it....

Yeah, just head to Sears and pick up a bolt extractor set -- I just needed one two weeks ago when I snapped off a banjo bolt working on a friend's old Subaru.

Set was $25. Came with hardened drill bits and matching extractors (5 of them or so?)

While you are at it, pick up a tap and die set if you don't have one, in case you ever mess up the threads on a bolt.

So handy to have around.
