OBD1 To OBD2 Plug conversion?
Im trying to change my OBD1 Plug to a OBD2 plug so my Tunnercats cable will work. I have tried to rewire the new OBD2 plug and cant seem to get it to work. The car is a 94 so there is no power at the factory OBD1 Plug If found the data wire and pinned it into 9 on the OBD2 plug and 4-5 are grounds but my Tunnercat cable only has prongs on 5-6. Has any one ever done this swap any input would be greatly appreciated,Is it mandatory to have power at the plug?

yes you must pin power into the plug, when I did this I bought a 4 foot obd2 extension cable and lopped off the female end and pinned everything directly into the PCM. but your 94 PCM isnt gonna work, youd have to get a 96 i dont think 94PCM is CAN cabable. I gave up and went to EFI 24X set up its the only way to go
