5.3l drive by cable, turbo 350 trans question
I have a question i havent been able to find, ive looked on other forums as well.. and no one is mentioning it.
I have a 5.3l mated to a chevy turbo 350 trans, and ive got my throttle cable figured out, but i havent seen anthing about a kickdown cable?
Do people extent the existing one?
How do you mount it since the throttle body doesnt work quite the same as the carb linkage?
If anyone has pictures of what they have done, it would be great of a piece of advice.
Thanks in advance

Hello I think there is an electric kit to buy, but I'm not sure.
Yes you can extend the cable and make you're own system with a linkage.
I have seen that electric system somewhere, was it Dakota Digital??
I think it works on vacuum (or) kick down signal from the ECU/tps from the engine and convert it to an mechanic arm or something like that.
Use google to search it up...
Sorry I'm not sure if this is the help you wanted..

yes thanks for the input, but what i am really trying to find is just the stock kickdown assembly modified to be ran on these throttle bodies.
I know someone out there has had to have done it.

thanks for the input,
yes i have a B&M ratchet shifter so i could very easily kickdown, but i still want it to shift down when i want to stomp on it and not have to do it manually.
ive looked at the throttle body and have a couple idea's, but not sure if they will work fully, or how to mount the cable stationary
