Default Ls6 engine swap!!!!!

I have a 02 ls6 semi built engine cam/head p&p. and supporting bolt ons for it i want to drop into my 98 trans am m6, i cant find and threads on this, all the ones i've read talk about how to just keep the ls1 same thing or whatever.. im droppin this one in because its got low miles and my ls1 has 254,xxx on the badboy.. got the engine for cheap 1400. family hook up. so if anyone can direct me to a thread on on a ls6 engine swap on what needs to be changed or kept i would be very thankful. or if not can someone please lmk what i need to do to drop it in as in can i keep my pcm, harness etc. Thanks

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but you'll atleast need a tune and possibly some wiring of sensors. I think the knock sensors are different or in a different location.

The pilot bearing needs to be changed, oil pan, front balancer and pcv needs to be rerouted, thats it. Other than thatits a perfect fit. I did my ls6 swap a few months ago.

If its out of an ws6 then its only ls6 block not a true ls6 engine but if its heads and cam I guess it doesn't matter anyway.

so your saying he put ls6 heads on it? If the 02 t/a never had the heads changed they will say 241 which are ls1 heads as no fbody ever came with the entire ls6 engine, just the block. If the heads were changed and are ls6 heads they will either say 799 or 243 on them
