Default issues with LS2 in SVO

Hey fellas, We dropped the LS into the SVO last night.. ran into a issue we weren't ready for.. the Hummer H3 alpha pan is hitting the rack.. the car has a D&D racing tubular K and we are using 2002 4.6 Motor mounts.. the alpha pan seems pretty short.. but is the f body pan that much shorter/thinner in the front?....... in the oil pan guide we have as a sticky its hard to tell.. the f body pan seems to have a bit of a hump about 4 inches form the front.. it looks like the pan or rack needs to be like 1.5" shorter..??? Since people have made this swap with stock K member we are a bit stumped..

so we pulled the oil pan off and the windage tray and pick up tube still hit the rack.. the only thing i can think of is that the rack bosses are higher than a stock k member.. as of now the idea is to cut off the rack mounts and reweld them lower on the K members main tube..

Post some pics of your project! Or do you have a build thread on another forum you could link me to?

"as of now the idea is to cut off the rack mounts and reweld them lower on the K members main tube.."

Careful doing that. You will be altering the bump steer by moving the tie rods down...

Correct it with a bumpsteer kit, I did this on my LT1 car, pan hit the rack.
