What's there to back up, it ran the number and he's shifting it too... Car looked ornery going down the track. If they wanted to lower the ET they could have swapped a TH400 and went even faster.

That said, I don't care whether or not they did beyond the fact it's a 1st for 8's and it would be great to see more. :D

They claimed a number at a private rental, never backed it up.

The 8.99 run was a personal record that has been our best with the black car. We didn't set out to set a national record, just to push the personal boundaries of our own 6 speed IRS Camaro. We have several 9.0x runs under our belts that can validate the 8.99, but keep in mind the 4100 plus mule of ours wasn't built around setting a record. It's about going out and pushing our own cars limits to learn and develop product. The car is capable of more, but these are the numbers we have put up on the board thus far.

Hey... Don't shoot for a record, but let's see more! :)
I'd like to see a whole new car from you folks. One that's taken from new, modified in similar fashion to the current, sent down the track and given a total cost for build along with an offering to build and sell it to your customers. I keep hearing/seeing word that you have $140,000 into the current car. I can believe that, considering ALL costs along the way, thinking you've tried multiple parts and multiple changes to reach the end result. It leaves me to wonder what it would cost to build what you have, without constant changes adding to the cost.

It'll, they have another car, the white one. That one has major weight reduction and a live axle rear end. It's awesome in person.
Orange go for it. Having pitted next to LPE this weekend, I know they could do major weight reduction and do better. Jon the driver has big clanking cojones to shift that car he should get some props for that.

Threads like this crack me up....... LPE is actively racing both cars, if anyone thinks they cant do what they say, the other lane is always available.....

usually the fastest run is just that, the fastest run. how many times has your car ran the best is ever has over and over? i know my measly 7.37 in the 1/8th only happened one time with all the other closest runs usually within 5-7 hundredths.
