Default Cam advise please!!!

I know you guys are probably tired of seeing threads like this but In my case is different, speciallly in another country.

I'm a soldier currently stationed in Germany and I have a 2002 manual WS6, my only mods are K&N FIPK
I bought comp cams 7.400 pushrods and Patriots dual springs with locks and seats, planning to get a pulley, lifters and timing chain. I want to buy a cam that is mean in the street and give me all the hp/torque I can get with stock heads and manifolds with a flowmaster muffler, if I can get to the 400s it would be better, I dont want to buy heads or headers, I only drive my car like 2 miles a day to work, Im planning on mailing my pcm cause theres not tuning in here, Ive read about the EPS 224/230 111 lsa and the CheaTR cam, is there any other toughter cam out there for MY SET UP? I want to be able to sweep some BMWs and GTIs up here with just a CAM. PLEASE HELP ME! I would really appreciate it.

With a M6, and a 224/230 on a 111 LSA, gonna be a lil touchy off idle. Also I'd think with a lot of bucking on a 111LSA, if it has the stock 3.42 gear ?

No headers + a Flowmaster, it's not gonna breathe good enough for the cam to have much of an advantage. With headers and a Magnaflow or something that breathes better, you might see 400 !

After you install a cam you should still check the pushrod length to verify the 7.4 will be ok!

If your going to do a mail order, Try Frost on here as I hear his mail tunes are very good.

I helped a friend tune his Vette on the Autostrada in Italy ( A 1 ) That was a blast zooming past the slower Ferrari's !

Something in the 228-236 range. Not having headers is gonna hurt you but having no headers plus a flowmaster muffler makes it worse.

Do some searching on Thunder Racing 230/224 or 227/224. With stock manifolds & heads the reverse split cam is supposed to work very well. The 230/224 has an awesome idle sound, the 227/224 is toned down quite a bit. Frost will have a good mail-order tune for that setup.

I Think I'll just wait for a complete set up with LT's, Y pipe and a complete exhaust. Maybe at Tax return

I wanted to correct my statement above. This thread indicates a reverse split works well with long tube headers and stock heads & intake. Sorry for the confusion.

if you are tight on money but have to mod.... Budget.
Exhaust
Pacesetter painted headers with pacesetter (or TSP) ypipe
cutout- you can buy them cheap on summit for like 35-40$

I would recommend something around 230/234 .600 111 for the cam..

You will also need a new clutch, you will fry your stocker quick with the added power.

You need exhaust with a cam!

What brand and stage for the clutch with those mods??? Would the Ram HDX from TSP $320 work, it says up to 450 hp?

This^^ is exactly what I was going to recomend. Try to get as many bolt-ons as you can before you do a cam. It will make the cam seem so much better when you get it in.

I know nothing about 6 speeds as far as which clutch to go with. I would call Texas Speed and ask what they say.

They would definitely help, heads will make it a different car! However if I were you I would spend an extra 400$ and grab a set of ls6 heads and get them ported.
