Default Dash mat

I am looking into getting a dash mat to help absorb some of the heat the dash takes so it doesn't crack. I know a lot f people think they are ugly but I actually like them so refrain from commenting on whether or not you think the are ugly or not.

I am trying to find one that has a "tighter" construction. Almost like a micro suede. I do not like the loose carpet look.

Does anyone have any ideas where I may find a dash mat like this?

Thanks a lot.

Find bulk upholstery material of your choice and wrap it as per the FAQ. Just make sure you get UV proof material or it will fade!

How about getting some sun shades for when you're parked outside. I've been using some since I bought the car brand new back in the day and never had a dash crack...

I think some sponsors on this board sell dash pad covers

I have a suede dash mat on my 94 Formula. Fitment was great. It looks pretty good. I ordered charcoal and it is a little too light to match the interior.

You can see pics of it on my cardomain page in my sig. Page 3.

Search for suede mat firebird. I think I paid around $50.

I went ahead and bought some a week or so ago. I don't like having to put them up every time I park.

i bought a cheap one from ebay i think. It was a while back, to cover the already cracked dashboard, and it came out ok. Size could be a little better but nothing terrible for the price. My only problem is that the heat avoids them sticking to the dashboard and i cant figure out how to make it stick.
