Default Advice: More go fast mods or show mods?

I'm not sure what I want to do to my car over the winter. Go faster or look better. Go fast mods would be, cam and heads. Show mods would be, cowl hood, ss spoiler, tint and maybe lower the car. Here's a pic of the car now.

Depends which you want more.

Are you happy with the way it looks? Buy h/c.

Are you happy with the way it performs? Buy visual stuff.

Boost dude. Only way to go for a winter project If that's not in your budget, then H/C combo with a good exhaust system.

That's the problem. I mod a car, get used to it and then I'm looking for more power! lol. But I kinda think my Z is ugly with stock hood and flat Z/28 spoiler. But then again, I'm not building a show car.

Understatement of the year

High 11s is good running car. If you want your cake and eat it......start out with make some easy changes by painting the side mirrors Pewter and removing the body side moldings? Wheels are always a "reasonable" upgrade and presents the highest visually impact. Like the hood and spoiler upgrade idea....that of course depends on what youre thinking

I thought about painting the mirrors. I took the side molding off, but had to put it back on. The paint seems a little different under the moldings.

A cheap nitrous kit (something to start with and then add accessories to later on) then appearance.

I'm not really a nitrous fan. But my wife talked to me about mods. She wants to get me a ss spoiler for my birthday in Oct! And she wants me to do the cam and heads swap this winter. The cam I'm getting is a 231/237 Speed inc cam. The heads I already have. Just have to send them to A.I to get worked over. I got the 243's for free. Well, I did a head/cam swap on my friends ls2 gto. He gave me the 243's as payment.

Eh, 600-700$ could get you everything you need to get started.

You may not be building a show car,but those cowl hoods look real nice.Looks like your almost there for the heads and cam swap.A light tint on your windows would prolly look good with the black wheels. GOOD LUCK

Go for the power. What was the trap speed on you 11? The cam you are looking at may be what I end up with as well. I was going to go with a tq v.3 from Texas speed but speed Inc is only 30 minutes from my house so would be easier
