Question replacing crankshaft pulley

hey guys, i'll be replacing crank pulley from my vette 98, it seems there's no space to do it, any advice to save time and job?

From what I recall from reading here (do a search), the steering rack needs to be taken loose and moved out of the way. Hopefully, a C5 expert will chime in...

yeaah, i thought about steering rack, i just want to be sure it was the fastest and easiest way to do it. thanks!
