Default which maker for 3.73?

which maker for 3.73 is the best and has the least amount of road noise? the gears will be goin in a 10 bolt with a new eaton diff

Although it will probably have more to do with the install then the gears, I tend to see GM Motive or Yukon to make the least amount of noise. My exp says Richmond tends to be much louder. Hope that helps.

** on a side note, I do not know each gear set's particular make up of metals used as some are better for strength but at a sacrifice of road noise and others tend to be quieter but not as loud.

get the oem gm or yukon gears. I have the motive performance 3.73's and they whine slightly.

AAM gears are the OEM and they should be quiet like stock. Blue box (stock) Motives in my experience have been very quiet as well. Yellow box (performance) Motives have been good also but tend to whine a tad. Never used Yukon...

3.42's will be it, I'd prefer not to be bumped into a faster class in autoX before I'm ready for that challenge
