finally got the hood painted. hood courtesy of VFN fiberglass. had to do some minor adjustments but fit right up!

Looks great as said it looks factory.

My 98 TA has a WS6 non Factory fibre glass hood also.

it's amazing how much lighter they are too. perfect fitment as well. looks a lot smoother than factory hoods IMO

I didm't know about the weight thing I know it's fibre glass. The previus owner fitted it as I have only had the car 2 months.

It was black and then he got it sprayed gold. I love it, it looks so much meaner than the TA hood. A buddy of mine has just got a 99 Firehawk he said there are only 5 in the UK so it a rare find and he got it for a good price. I think my hood looks meaner than his IMO

Thanks yes I saw a post on here of a guy who had a gold one he said they only made 250

I didn't even realise until reading his post that gold was only available in 98

I did another search on production mumbers for 98 and found the exact figure for sport gold metalic TA is 235.

My 99 Z28 was black looked great when it was polished. Trouble was I had to polish it everytime I washed it to get the water marks off! A lot of work I will agree on that.
