4.3 vortec throttle body to ls1
hi guys, im not to familier with the whole ls1 conversion game. i have a 1995 chevy c2500 with a 4.3 vortech and a 5 speed. the 4.3 is a throttle body motor and it just dont have the power i want to pull my race truck around. was wondering if it was possible or how hard it would be to put a ls1 in this truck. would i need to switch wiring harnesses or would it be a simple hook up. i dought it would be simple. just trying to decide on ls1 or just a 350 vortec, id much rather put the ls1 in it because im really impressed by the ls1. HELP ME OUT

Towin with it i'd ditch the 5speed and get a 5.3 or 6.0 vortec/4L60 combo. 5.3s are cheap. If you use mostly junkyard parts and leave it all stock, you can do it for around $1500. But thats doing it all yourself including wiring. Its not a weekend job. Vortec 350 could be in and running in a weekend.

ok, thanks guys, and the merv, its called a "light duty 3/4 ton truck" it is a 3/4 ton and it is a 6 lug, im 100% sure, if you want to find out yourself go to advance and look up a 95 chevy c2500 4.3 and look at a drum for the rear, one is a 6 lug and one is a 8 lug
