What is really revealing is the low sales of the 370Z. These are NSX level figures and that model was discontinued.

I'm also wondering about the Genesis coupe. Too bad we don't know the sales for that model. But, I'm guessing it's worse than the the 370Z.

I love the look of 5th gen Camaros. 5.0 Mustangs are alright but I mean the looks are just like a 2005–2009.... Performance yes we all know 5.0 & 5th gens are pretty even when it comes to it. But Camaros weigh way TO MUCH. Like I keep saying if the Camaro weighed 3400-3500 lbs it would be interesting.

Camaro will continue to dominate in sales. Which is all that matters with the ZL1 coming out...

I still can't see why all the bragging about leading sales over such a short period of time... Camaro has the lead, for almost 2 model yrs in a row... It still lost in the sales contest for 28 of its 36 previous years and is behind roughly 2:1 overall in the history of both cars. It's not even a little bit close overall. If Camaro can lead sales at the current rate for about the next 40 years straight, it will catch up to Mustang sales... 40 years, boys and girls... That's not just a trip down memory lane. It's nearly the entire adult life of hald the world's population.

Btw... Answering the quickest new model Mustang with only a slightly slower quickest current Camaro, but one that was being modified for over 1 full year more to be just a hair slower... Not a great comeback. :emb: Not to mention the cost difference in builds, hugely favoring the Mustang.

Good for GM and the market of performance cars in general, that these pony cars are selling so well. I think it's a great thing to see GM leading the segment in sales for a change. Maybe it will last a bit longer than it has in the past. Maybe not. Pony car bragging rights, however, are solidly in Fords corner and probably will be for another 40 or more years.

To label a thread, "camaro continues its sales dominance" when in fact, Mustang has annihilated it over the long run... Pointless, argumentative, VERY MUCH INCORRECT and childish.

PS it may be that Genesis sales aren't very good, but I haven't seen a breakdown of coupe vs sedan on that model. Overall, I suspect it's selling far better than the 370Z.

After all, the Mustang hasn't outsold Camaro for most of the past 2 1/4 years(month after month), but it's outsold it by millions since the debut of the F-body in 1966.

Bearing that in mind, someone could say, "Camaro cuts into Mustang sales dominance for another month!" We don't see that kind of thing, though it's far closer to actual truth than to simply claim Camaro continues its dominance... It hasn't had any actual sales dominance since the day it hit the showroom floors in late 1966... It's been roughly 1 million or more units behind since the beginning.
