ah good old chrysler quality control.

I know someone who was following a brand new truck and got the driver's attention because something wasn't right. he directed the owner to the tailgate of his brand spanking new "DOGDE" pickup truck

With the reports of chrysler workers getting high on the job does this really suprise anyone?

I knew somenoe who worked at Ford and he said the QC wasn't very good either back in the late 90s. Back then they made the Taurus SE and LX models. Well an employee who thought he'd be funny decided to combine the 2 and make the Taurus SEX. He figured the joke would be caught by the QC or fall off somewhere along the line but apparently it didn't and the X he had loosely attatched next to the SE badge actually stuck and it wasn't discovered until the car was bought by a cusotmer :rotflmao:

It doesn't help that she didn't buy a real Jeep. It's a damn dodge caliber...

If it isn't a Grand Cherokee or a Wrangler, than it isn't much of a Jeep and it's probably a POS.
The defunct exceptions include the Commander, Cherokee, Comanche, etc.
Man, I would love a comanche with an LSX.
Actually, even a cherokee would do.

Question is, how did the buyer not notice till he got it home?? Guess he didn't inspect it too well before taking possession...

Other than all of that....the new 2012 Jeep Wranglers are going to be pretty awesome little vehicles. They get the new Pentastar 3.6L V6 with nearly 300hp and an available 5 speed automatic, should be lots better than the 2011 models.

So wait...it's the same exact part, but the 2012 isn't available with unpainted fenders and that's what it got?

First off, kind of an honest mistake since the guy has probably put on thousands of unpainted fenders in years past.

Second, if the unpainted fenders are now unavailable for 2012, why were they still out on the line? (I'm assuming he didn't go out of his way to get some backstock when noticing all he had were painted fenders).

The only thing that I don't like about the new wrangler is that it's approaching 4000lbs.

Otherwise, I never would have expected to see this in a Wrangler:

Not bad, for a car that usually has one of the most bare and spartan interiors.

Yeah, seems an honest mistake on one of thousands of vehicles. Mistakes happen. Perfection is the exception, not the norm.
