if i put a ls6 cam in a 5.3 with 799 heads do i need new springs. i know that 799 heads are ls2 heads and according to gmpp ls6/2 springs are the same. i am only asking because i don't know if the 799 truck heads have the same springs.

Are the 799 truck heads springs painted ? If so m what color ? If yellow or blue then You're good to go .
