Default need quick help for alternator wiring

im wiring the alternator , is 650 ohm resister to much resistance for the alternator?

My system has a 470 ohm resister I added. The voltmeter in the dash has a small light and a 330 ohm resister as back up in case the light does not turn on. The light BTW never turns on, but it is still charging just under 14V at idle.

Try it, bet it works just fine...

Agreed...a little of 500 Ohms (650) is probably fine.
