Steering wheel control light??

Default Steering wheel control light??

The right side light volume controls on the steering wheel went out,how do I get to it to replace the light or can I even replace it without buying new controls.Thanks

you can take em apart and soldier in new LEDs... thats what I plan on doing because the dealer wants $144 for that stupid thing!

My lights on the right side controls are out as well, left side still works fine. Dealer told me they wanted $15 for the buttons. According to the GM Service Manual, if the lights are out, all you gotta do is replace the buttons. The wire that connects the lights to the wiring harness is about $120 or so if I remember right but I don't think that is what is needed to fix the problem. Just need to get back to the dealer and buy the new buttons.

theres 2 different steering wheel controls from what I remember... The cheaper ones were $15, the otehrs were $140. supposedly if your car's buttons are smooth they are the $15 ones, if it has divots for your fingertips (more common) those arre the expensive ones....
