02 sensor questions

Default 02 sensor questions

Which sensor is Bank 2 sensor 2. I know sensor 2 is after cats, but what side?
Also is their an instruction site to tell how to change. ie. do you need to disconect battery?

B1S1 pre-cat driver side
B1S2 post cat driver side


B2S1 pre-cat passenger side
B2S2 post cat passenger side

Personally I don't dis-connect the battery when changing 02's and never had a problem. There's a special socket with a slit up the side to allow the 02 wire to pass through while tightening and loosening. I just use a pair of vice grips by just barely snugging them up before locking them down. An open ended wrench could work but if there really stuck in there you'll just round the 02 off. If your having a really hard time shoot it with some WD-40 or liquid wrench, give it a few minutes and they'll come right out.

Also try not to bang around or drop the new 02/'s. Rough handling has been known to cause issues with them
