Default 228/232cam, TEA 243s, FAST85, LQ4 = 460HP/427TQ

Got the car dyno'd with the new intake and head setup. I'm very pleased with the numbers. Picked up 40hp and 17tq changing from my LS6 intake, stock ported TB, stock maf and mildly worked 241 setup.

Current Mods:
SSRA
SLP Lid
85mm truck MAF
Professional Products 85mm throttle body
Ported FAST 85
TEA Stage 2 243 heads milled .020
Comp Custom Grind 228/232 .588 .595 112+0
Stock LQ4 Bottom end
ASP 25% under drive pulley
Hooker 1 3/4 Longtubes
TSP ORY
3" Borla Adjustable Catback with custom 3/4" block off plate

It's a T56 car running a 315 Toyo TQ Drag radial out back and a 3.73 gear.

Dyno graph shows baseline and after tune.

That is a nice power curve. I bet that car is really strong.

I would have expected it to peak closer to 6500. Also, are you sure there is no advance in that cam? What is the intake center line?

The car feels great, thanks.

I'll have to go find and double check the cam card but the ICL should be 112. It peaks just after 6k. I figured the cam was just a tad bit small for the motor.

I have the same cam and I ordered mine 112 even also.

looks good.. I wouldn't be too worried about the peak because it seems to carry well with no significant loss

This.

That setup looks like an awesome street car setup. More people searching the internet need to pay more attention to builds like this, rather than buying some vendors hype about how bad *** their 240 duration cam is.

Nice work.

Nice work.
Not to diminish these comments, but when I pointed this out it was not because I thought there was anything wrong, but merely did not match my expectation of that particular grinds power peak with a 112 intake centerline. It is merely a tech thing. I am curious to see the intake centerline.

Why stop the pull just shy of 6k?

All the pulls except the first was done to 6.5k-ish. There was a problem with the pickup on the dyno and it would sometimes drop the tach signal. Most of the tuning and logging was done by MPH. This ended up being the cleanest way to display AFR/RPM vs HP/TQ

Nice results, this seems like the 6.0 version of my setup. Also interesting to see another fast 85 user out there

I don't believe so. I found it while searching on Ebay.

Very nice..I bet that a larger primary tube header would help due to the cubes, intake and ported heads..

I wonder what I would pick up with 1 7/8" or 2" primary headers along with a 3'' dual or 4'' catback exhaust?

you will probably lose some torque with larger primary headers but gain mid to top end hp
