Do superchargers get really hot?

95 Z28 383 lt1 supercharger vortech which is polished. Have the spark plug wires running underneath the supercharger bracket but they are touching the head unit. Will the supercharger get hot enough to burn the wire

Yes, they get pretty hot, but no, it should not burn the wires.

I doubt it. Mine sits at idle around 145deg F in 100 deg heat of summer. This was checked earlier this summer to compare intercooler efficiency.
