A buddy @ work wants to buy this '97 V6 camaro for $1,600 and use it as a DD. He said that there's no code in the add, just says something about a DTC code for solenoid in transmission. Is that an EZ fix or not even worth the $1,600 for the car price?

should be on the valve body, you need to remove the pan and filter and replace tranny oil.

Does he know the code? But a DTC like that can be caused by low fluid in the trans or a bad solenoid.

Might not work if the trans has been slipping for a while not building pressure due to that solenoid. The clutches might of wasted down and will end up in trans failure. Mostlikly the best fix is to rebuild.

Also make sure to flush the whole system. radiator and all.
