Default MAF Translator - Timing Controller - Necessary for Nitrous System on LT1?

I was just wondering if I definately needed to buy a MAF Translator/Timing Controller for my car or not. It's pretty pricey, and if I can get away with not buying it...that'd be ideal.

If I need it though, I'll get one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Wes

a definite must! unless you plan on a really small shot, i would recommend it, you can run a colder plug with race fuel to slow the burn, but i wouldn't risk it. look at it this way, it is cheaper than a motor

Anyone got a used one? Is it pretty easy to use? Also, isn't there one that has a bunch of built in nitrous controls as well?

I just ordered a NOS Noszle kit for my 1995 LT1. It's a mild Heads/Cam car, I'm looking for some super low 11s or high 10s with it. I'm planning on starting with a 150hp system, and if it doesn't go fast enough with that...jet it to 200hp. Pill it till ya kill it eh?

What plug would you recommend?

Thanks a bunch taner.
