Default My Grandpa car

Drove the geriatric machine to work. Last pic for a while with the stock wheels.

Those things look so badass just sitting still. What wheels are you going with?

Good looking car man. Also love the 2 almost 3 spot parking job. Never works for me to park like that some old lady always seems to fit her boat in next to me.

Guessing its stock. How many miles are on it because it looks like a low mileage car.

Bad *** car with a bad *** engine. I really admire SyTys and turbo Buicks. I'm glad Buick is starting to come back to their roots.

Bizz, HTX and rabid.

It was fully restored last year at 89k miles. Current mileage is 89,4xx. I plan on driving it on some nice days, going to meets, and taking it out to the track a couple times a year. There aren't many plans in the mods department.

It already has heads, cam, intake, fuel system, full exhaust, downpipe, billet ball bearing 6262 turbo, precision intercooler, alky injection, suspension, etc.

I took up 2 solid spaces parking. My lot is usually about 50% full, so it's not a big deal.

I lost out on ebay on a really awesome 1986 GT Pro Performer BMX bicycle, so I bought this a week later. I figured I might as well buy the ultimate 80's hot rod if I couldn't have my favorite 80's BMX bike. WTF!?

I have a brand new set of Centerline Telstars that will be mounted soon.
Here's a GN with them.

Is there any attraction of the buick over the Monte carlo? I wanted one when I was a teenager but seemed like they were all used and abused.

I see buicks at car shows but never Monte Carlos. Always wondered why.

For me, the Monte Carlos look too plasticy, long/batmobile-ish. Plus, they are slow.

If I was buying a new car in 86-87 and I just had to have 4 seats and a V8, I would have went IROC or 5.0 Mustang.

I just don't care for the looks of those Monte Carlos.

You be the judge.

Damn I've always assumed the bodies were the same. Putting it side by side like that I can see the rear quarter lines are different as well as front and rear end. Lol. I see the apeal now.

I like GN's but I'm not a fan of the T-type with the huge 80's metal truck bumpers. Anyone ever paint a T-type bumper body color to match? It would look even better. I dig the color of your car, just not the bumpers. Might be cool to find some GN bumpers and have them paint-matched to your car.

Color matched bumpers are in the plans. My last Turbo Buick had them. I think they clean up the appearance of the car.

I dig it. I like your gray color more than the white, it will look sweet with the bumpers.

BTW, if you ever want to do something baller with wheels, these would look very OEM-like in a full brushed setup. I'm a dealer for them.

I love the GN's and T-Types. I tried to talk my wife into one a while back and she hates them. Beautiful car there Ross.... I bet it runs pretty good with all the stuff that's done to it.
