Ok, I've read before that some poeple are not using jets while shooting the 5177 dry. I gives you like a 135rwhp shot.
Question is : do they do it on a stock tune??? AFR/WOT timing

Default Me...

I run my kit exactly as you speak of. I have a 100% stock tune. I have never done it on the Dyno but it drops me 2.2 sec and 15mph in the 1/4.

So wait if I'm reading this post right you guys are saying you can run this kit with no jets and not pop? I ran 150 jets and gained 0.8 sec and 12 mph. I had stock tune and just bolt-ons on my Z.

yes, I run mine wide open...I wish someone would do this on the dyno or something. I have heard that it is a 135 shot, I have heard that this is a 175 shot. I want to know. My car is bone stock and runs 13.8 @103 on motor and 11.68 @ 118 on the hose.

Hi Repo, . No detonation? or any other symptoms? Do you activate from launch?
I got a stall (TCI 3500 2.5str).
And how many times have you done that??

not one bit. I have run aprox 15 ten pound bottles and 4 15 pound bottles throught it like that and all at the track and all off the line. I have a stock converter I bring the rpms up to 1000 and stick it to the wood. The split second hesitation it takes for the air box to fill up is perfect. So far my best 60ft is 1.64 keep in mind the car is stock but the bottle and a cutout and 342 gear. Even has the stock air lid and no free mods.

Ya its pretty safe thats the way I'm running my dry kit also no jets. I honestly have no clue what it sprays I'v heard that its between 125-135. The only thing they told me was that I need the NGK plugs. I'v gone through about 4 bottles and so far so good no problems. THANK GOD!!! Also were could I get some 150 jets for that 5177 dry kit?

Mine dynoed an extra 144 rwhp and 230 rwtq with no jets in it. This was on a bone stock A4 with just a cut-out and nothing else.

Good, that reassures me a little. I'm doing 11.9/115mph with 135 shot, I'm gonna go for it, perhaps i can shave another 0.2 or so.
I'll post my feedback after Thursday. Thanks for the input.

BTW BadBOY Z28 (150hp twin jets are #44)

I run the 100 shot. I'm not sure my stock bottom end would hold if I took the jets out and went ***** to the wall with the cam I have now. Repoman...sounds awesome. Are you launching on the juice with slicks? Do you still have your stock bottom end?

yes, yes, yes. Never had a valve cover off of it. No headers, no lid, no stall. Just a set of 342 gears. and a cutout.
