Default Water spilling out of reservoir

When I drive the car around and get it warm and turn it off it starts to bubble then water spills out the reservoir tank. Any idea of what is causing this? Engine doesnt get hot stays around 170 ish

Coolant boils out of the reservoir tank when air gets into the cooling system. Blown head gasket, bad radiator cap or a leak somewhere is letting air in.....

You need to bleed the system of air before trying to spend money on fixes.

Start the engine when its cold with the radiator cap "off". Let it warm up and watch for the coolant level to drop down, then top it off. Then wait again for the t-stat to open and see if the level drops again. Maybe even a 3rd time.
***While you're waiting for it to heat up the first time...squeeze the upper and lower radiator hoses rapidly and firmly about 30-40 times each....that will move the air bubble by the t-stat if there is one there...

You'll know all the air is out....when you see the coolant flowing in the radiator fill neck with the radiator cap "off".......
That means the t-stat has opened. As long as you top it off IMMEDIATELY when the level drops down, you took care of the air bubble issue...if thats even the issue.

If you've been running fine and then all of sudden one day you have coolant boiling over....you have a problem.

I had the line from the resevior on the bottom and the line from the heads on top so when engine gets warm the water over flows from resevior.
