car wont shift 1st to 2nd

car wont shift 1st to 2nd 98 z28 auto. I put a Richmond 3.73 gear in the car and programmed it with a programmer for the new gear and tire size. Now manually shifting it out it won't go from 1st to 2nd just hits the rev. Shifted perfect before the gear and if I leave it in overdrive its perfectly fine. It's only 1st to 2nd. Any ideas?
